Ektagyn® is a vaginal gel based on 3% ectoin and 2% hyaluronic acid.
Ektagyn® is a pH 4.5 medical device intended for use as an adjuvant in the prevention and treatment
vaginal atrophy.
Ektagyn®, by allowing the maintenance of the natural hydration of the vaginal mucosa , relieves the symptoms of vaginal atrophy such as dryness, burning sensations, pruritus and discomfort during sexual intercourse.
Ectoin is an osmoprotective molecule, which provides a humectant and soothing action and has moisturizing and protective properties on the tissues. Ectoin creates an aqueous defense barrier for the mucous membranes, which are thus strengthened and naturally protected from irritation.
Hyaluronic Acid
is a highly soluble, high molecular weight non-sulfated glycosaminoglycan. Thanks to its muco-mimetic and viscoelastic properties, it guarantees good lubrication of the vaginal mucosa.
The combination of Ectoin and Hyaluronic Acid can relieve both the symptoms of vaginal atrophy
of one
mild to moderate/severe degree than vaginal dryness and irritation at the time of application and over the long term.

For moderate to severe atrophy, apply once daily for a maximum of 7 days, then apply every
3 days or as required. In case of mild atrophy, apply the product every 3 days or as needed.
Wash hands before use.
Unscrew the cap, press firmly with the other side of the cap to pierce the aluminum cap (to be done only when opening for the first time).
Screw the application cannula onto the tube in place of the cap.
Squeeze the tube to fill the cannula with the product. Completely fill the cannula.
Unscrew the cannula from the tube.
Insert the cannula into the vagina and empty the cannula by pressing the plunger.
Remove the cannula.
Discard cannula after use, do not reuse.
Close the tube after use.
Wash hands before use.
Unscrew the cap, press firmly with the other side of the cap to pierce the aluminum cap (to be done only when opening for the first time).
Screw the application cannula onto the tube in place of the cap.
